Last Updated: November 28, 2025
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, information that is generated through your use of the Service, and information from third-party services.
- Content You Provide: This includes audio and video files, text inputs, user notes, and images you upload ("User Content"). This is the core data of your memory engrams.
- Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. (Note: User Authentication is a planned feature).
- Automatically Collected Information: When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage details.
- Geolocation Data: With your explicit permission, we collect your geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) to provide the "Local Resonance" feature. You can revoke this permission at any time through your browser settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To process your User Content, generate AI analyses, store your engrams, and provide you with the core functionality of AuraRecall.
- To Improve and Personalize the Service: To understand how you use the Service, to develop new features, and to personalize your experience. We may use anonymized and aggregated data for research and development.
- To Communicate With You: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- For Security and Safety: To protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Q HLC Parallax Labs and our users.
Your User Content is yours. We will not use your personal User Content to train our general AI models without your explicit, opt-in consent. The AI processing performed on your data is done solely to provide the Service's features to you.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With Service Providers: We use third-party service providers for hosting (Firebase), database management (Firestore), and AI processing (Google Cloud Platform). These providers have access to your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we believe it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- With Your Consent: We may share your information with your consent or at your direction.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your User Content is stored in Google's Firebase Firestore, a secure NoSQL database. We implement robust security measures, including Firestore's built-in security rules, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your personal information. You can access, review, and delete your memory engrams at any time directly within the AuraRecall application. Deleting a memory engram permanently removes it from our systems.
